What kids do

Kids rotate by classroom through STEM and sensory activities, the play structure and pretend town, and lunch. Younger siblings who aren't ready for a STEM station play in the play area instead.

Food

Lunch, snacks and drinks are made by Play Theory and paid for by the fund. Tell us about any food allergies on the form.

Parents and drop-off

  • Stay and enjoy the cafe, or drop off. Either is fine.
  • Play Theory staff run the stations. A Silver Rail Children's Fund volunteer is there the whole time, and we've asked Deschutes County Health to send mental health professionals.
  • Siblings under 3: a parent must stay on site.
  • Every child needs Play Theory's waiver signed (Step 2 below).

Who's welcome

  • Silver Rail 2nd graders and their siblings.
  • Silver Rail 2nd grade teachers are warmly invited.
  • 60 people total, kids and adults. When it fills, we'll start a waitlist.
