Make a pizza with the chefs.
Deschutes Brewery is hosting Silver Rail kids and their families at the Public House downtown. Kids make their own pizza with the Deschutes chefs, make playdough, and play games led by Whimsy with Purpose. This is an in-kind donation: Deschutes is giving the space, the staff, the food, and the drinks. Whimsy with Purpose is giving the play. Families just show up.
Why pizza? Because for a child who was at Silver Rail on October 15, an unpressured afternoon with classmates, hands in dough, is not a break from recovery. It is recovery. Gentle, child-led play is how kids regain a sense of safety and say what they can't yet put into words.

Costumes still welcome 🎃
60 spots each day, kids and adults together. Friday is full; Wednesday has room. A parent or guardian stays with their child the whole time. Siblings are welcome. If your day fills, you'll get an email with your place in line and can switch to the other day.
- Each kid builds their own pizza at a prepped station, and the Deschutes kitchen bakes it.
- Parents eat and drink too. Deschutes is feeding the grown-ups as well as the kids.
- Playdough making, toys, and games led by Whimsy with Purpose while pizzas cook.
- Costumes welcome, and a little Halloween on the tables — pumpkins to decorate, nothing scary. Quiet corner for anyone who needs a minute.
- No photos of children without a parent's say-so. No press inside.
Save your spots.
One form per family. We need a headcount of kids and adults so Deschutes can prep enough dough.
If the form doesn't load, open it in a new tab or email hello@silverrailchildrensfund.org with your name, which session, and how many kids and adults.
An in-kind donation to the fund, for our children now.
Deschutes Brewery & Whimsy with Purpose
Deschutes Brewery is giving all of it as an in-kind donation to the Silver Rail Children's Fund, the Public House, the chefs' time, every pizza, and the drinks. Nothing about this day costs the fund a dollar. Whimsy with Purpose is bringing the playdough, the toys, and the games. Go say thank you.
