My daughter was out of her classroom for Walk to Read that morning when everything happened. She had nowhere to hide and no door to close. I cannot even bring myself to process what could have happened if you weren't right there.
Because of your incredible courage, swift action, and bravery, countless lives were saved — including my daughter's. You gave her back to us, and there are truly no words that can ever fully measure our gratitude to you.
