Pizza Day at Deschutes Brewery
More than 75 people from Silver Rail came. Kids got to see their classmates again, mixing their own playdough and picking the colors. They did sensory play with little acrylic pumpkins and built their own pumpkin patches out of playdough. They had so much fun with the playdough that they took their pizza kits home to bake later. Parents gathered around a table, moms got to give hugs, and the kids got to be kids.
Two counselors from Deschutes County Behavioral Health were there, and some parents sat down to talk with them.
To whoever built the massive playdough pumpkin patch: a few pumpkins were left behind, and we couldn't throw them away. We saved them for you. Email hello@silverrailchildrensfund.org and we'll get them back to you. Is this yours?
Thank you to Deschutes Brewery and Whimsy with Purpose for a morning our families won't forget.

Volleyball clinic for Silver Rail kids
Coach Lisa Altick hosted a free volleyball clinic for 2nd–5th graders, with help from her middle school players and other local coaches. 18 kids came out to play, 11 of them from Silver Rail. Thank you, Lisa, for giving our kids a morning of fun and normal with their friends.
